Our Team

Ashwood Marketing was set up some years ago when the founder, Nigel Wood, identified a major gap in the marketing spectrum. In one of his other businesses, he had a sales force servicing existing clients, but they were not very good at developing new business. He could not afford to have them cold calling potential clients and actually if he did ask them to do this, they were not particularly good at it. The telemarketing call centre companies promised a lot, but delivered little in the 'business to business' market place. What Nigel identified was the need to have a team of professional business people who would have the 'nous' to be able to get into a company and find the decision maker, to set up an appointment. His sales staff could now go in and convert the opportunity. Hence Ashwood Marketing - 'business to business' marketing.

Nigel Wood

Nigel has been involved in selling all his working life - in just about every selling role possible. Trained in management by Marks & Spencer, selling by IBM, Nigel has experience of just about every facet of business, but the buzz he gets from closing a ‘deal’ overrides everything else in business - whether that’s for himself or his client. Nigel has that ability to see an opportunity and then to convert it. Useful for him and useful for Ashwood Marketing clients!

 

 

The Associates

Ashwood Marketing has a team of Associates to back it up. All our Senior Associates have at least 10 years direct sales experience, and are capable to developing business dialog on behalf of our clients. The work is targeted, quantifiable and monitored. They form close relationships with their clients, including regular days ‘on-site’.

For projects where gathering of information, or market research is required, we have a team of Associates who do not have the business experience of Nigel Wood or the senior associates, but do have the interpersonal and telephone skills to effectively gather the required information. Many have experience with telemarketing firms where they were used in business development roles. Ashwood Marketing has developed them to the next professional level.
