Appointment Making

Ashwood provide the most important aspect of growing a business - prospective new customers - able and willing to purchase your products.

  1. We research your marketplace to find you new business prospects with the requirement and budget to purchase your products and services.
  2. We will then open dialog with those companies, fully understand their requirements, and arrange for you to meet the appropriate decision makers
  3. We fully brief you on the requirement, budget, timescales, buying criteria and when possible, your competition.

We have a huge database of most UK Companies to search, which we use in combination with your own listings of ‘old customers and prospects’ - plus your ‘wish list’ of companies you would like to talk to.

Our appointment making services are carried out exclusively by Nigel Wood or one of our Senior Associates, with the agreement of the client.

We do not work from scripts, and ask pre-set ‘tick in the box’ questions - we develop business dialog with your prospects, seek, develop and build business opportunities for you. Our calls not viewed as an irritating time waste talking to someone who doesn’t have the business experience to add value to either client or prospect. Prospects very quickly realise they are talking to someone who understands the business needs of their business - and they respond accordingly. (top)

Management of Sales Cycle

Many smaller companies don’t have the sales infrastructure to effectively market their products outside of their local area - driving 200 miles to a speculative sales meeting simply isn’t cost effective. Ashwood Marketing are able to offer an outsourced sales service whereby we attend the sales meetings we set up with prospective customers - and thereafter manage the whole sales process through to signing the order. This service can provide the full process as above - or in part, where we attend the initial meeting, and thereafter liase between the client and prospect - the client only having to meet the prospect at the closing stage of the process - when travelling 200 miles does become cost effective. Marketing Project Management

Marketing Strategies are usually multi-faceted, involving a variety of skills and activities. In larger firms, management of the implementation of these strategies or plans usually falls to Marketing Managers or Directors. In smaller firms, it is usually the MD or Sales Director who manages - even though he/she usually has a thousand more pressing issues to contend with.

Ashwood Marketing will take the problem off your hands, managing and coordinating the various parties involved, and ensuring the marketing plan is delivered on time, and within budget - which is a very rare event with a marketing plan!! (top)

Market Research

The Ashwood Marketing Team provides full Market Research services, from building appropriate databases, acquiring and verifying the required data though to detailed competitive analysis. Sales Support

We have described our core sales support activities - particularly appointment making or management of the sales cycle. However, for companies requiring short term support - to cover for holidays, sickness, maternity leave - or to staff exhibition stands - we can also help. We have a database of first class and experienced sales people seeking short term roles. Our senior staff are happy to spend a few days on your stand marketing your products!(top)

Sales Recruitment Consultancy

Whilst we are not planning on setting up a recruitment operation, we do have a great deal of experience in searching, selecting and assessing sales staff. To recruit a sales person today requires considerable financial commitment before seeing any return - and mistakes are costly and very disruptive. Ashwood Marketing provide an assessment service to review your short or long listed sales candidates, screen and reference them to ensure that the final choice will perform as you require, within your environment and ethos. Not having the responsibility of sourcing the candidates - and making an expensive placement - ensures that our assessment is unbiased and fair, and reflects your criteria, not the interests of the agency. Fund Raising for Charities

Most charities are manned by very well meaning and concerned individuals - most of whom have little commercial experience - and no sales experience. They operate in a very competitive world, where there are a multitude of equally deserving causes fighting for every charitable penny.

To succeed in this environment requires a business like approach, a planned campaign, and the ability to ‘close the sale’. Winning corporate support for a charitable cause is no different from selling a product or service - and requires the same disciplines and determination.
